Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: September 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DevXcellence (“DevXcellence,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Praxam mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
The information we process depends on how you use Praxam and which features you enable. It may include:
- Account information: your name, email address, account identifier, and authentication information when you create or access an account.
- Study and activity information: your exam date, quiz responses, drill results, study progress, streaks, mastery levels, study-reminder preferences, Project Phoenix episode completion, scenario choices, and other interactions needed to provide and personalize the learning experience.
- Purchase information: subscription status, product identifiers, transaction and receipt information, and entitlement information supplied through Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
- Service and device information: Praxam and its service providers may process limited technical information needed to authenticate users, secure requests, verify purchases, and operate the Service, such as app version, operating-system version, language, IP address, user agent, and technical request logs.
- Communications: information you provide when you contact us for support, submit feedback, or request assistance.
Information that remains solely on your device and is not transmitted to us is not collected by DevXcellence.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide and maintain Praxam; create and secure accounts; save and synchronize study and Project Phoenix progress; schedule study reminders you enable; process and verify subscription access; personalize study features; resolve technical problems; respond to support requests; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with legal obligations; and improve the Service.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use Praxam information to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for targeted advertising.
3. How information is collected
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated as you use Praxam, information received from Apple in connection with downloads and in-app purchases, and limited technical information automatically generated by the app and its service providers.
4. When information is shared
We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:
- Google Firebase for account authentication, Cloud Firestore data storage, and Cloud Functions used to operate account features, synchronize progress, and securely process account deletion. Firebase may process account information, authentication and security data, study activity, exam dates, and Project Phoenix progress on our behalf. Learn more in Firebase’s privacy and security documentation.
- RevenueCat for subscription verification and entitlement management. RevenueCat processes an anonymous app-user identifier, product identifiers, transaction and receipt information, subscription status, and entitlement information. Praxam does not send your name, email address, or Firebase account identifier to RevenueCat. Learn more in RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
- Apple in connection with App Store distribution, in-app purchases, subscriptions, fraud prevention, and platform services. Apple handles information under its own privacy policies.
- Legal and safety recipients when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, DevXcellence, or the public.
- A successor organization as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
We do not permit service providers to use Praxam user information for their own advertising purposes.
5. Data retention and deletion
We retain information only for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain legitimate business and security records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type. Account, study, and Project Phoenix information is generally retained while your account remains active. Operational logs and support records may be retained for a shorter period, while transaction records may be retained as required for subscription administration, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
You may delete your Praxam account from the Profile screen in the app. Account deletion removes your Firebase Authentication account and Praxam-controlled profile, study-progress, and Project Phoenix records, and revokes the associated Sign in with Apple authorization. Records maintained independently by Apple or RevenueCat, including transaction records required for subscription administration, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance, may be retained under their respective policies.
Deleting your Praxam account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. You must manage or cancel an active subscription through your Apple Account. You may also request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting us at privacy@devxcellence.com. We may need to verify your identity. Some information may remain in backups or be retained when legally required, but it will no longer be used for ordinary product purposes.
6. Your choices and rights
You may update available profile settings in the app, enable or disable study reminders, manage notifications through iOS settings, manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account, delete your account from the Profile screen, and request access to or deletion of personal information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy, or appeal a decision about a privacy request.
You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal and may limit features that require the relevant information.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
8. Children’s privacy
Praxam is intended for individuals preparing for professional project-management examinations and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
9. International processing
DevXcellence and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Praxam evolves or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice when reasonably appropriate.
